Tibetan Settlements Around Bylakuppe: It is around 40 kms from Madikeri and around 100 kms from Srirangapatna, near Hunsur on Mangaluru-Mysuru highway. 8 kms from Bhagamandala and 44 kms from Madikeri and 4187 feet above the Sea level, Talacauvery is the source of the holy river Cauvery on the slopes of the Brahmagiri Hill. Taking bath in this spot on Tula Sankramana (an auspicious day in the month of October) is considered very sacred.
